Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reiterated the government's commitments in providing world-class health care facilities for the people in the State.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inaugural function at an eye checkup and surgery camp organized by Directorate of Health Services in association with Prasad Netralaya, Udupi; Colorcon Asia; Essilor Vision, Bangalore and Dendayal Nagari Sahakari Pathsanstha, Bicholim at Hirabai Zantye Hall Bicholim on Saturday.
Speaker Rajesh Patnekar, Health Minister and medical doctors were present on the occasion.
Speaking further the Chief Minister said that the government will organize such camps all over the State in the coming days. He said, the government will be starting special treatment centres in Bicholim, Sankhali and Valpoi hospitals, which will benefit the public from these areas to a large extent.
Speaking on the occasion Health Minister said that the Health Department will provide requisite medical facilities at the doorstep of the public by organizing such camps.
He said if the diagnosis of a disease is done at the right time, chances of saving the patients are stronger. Such camps will provide the much-required medical assistance at the vicinity of the patients.
A large number of people from in and around Bicholim took the benefit of the camp.
