CM: Issues plaguing Sanguem constituency to be solved soon

Assuring that the government is mindful to the problems faced by people, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said all issues pertaining to Sanguem constituency would be solved soon.

“The government is doing infrastructure development as well as human development,” he said.

The chief minister was speaking during his tour of Sanguem constituency, where he interacted with people at various places and addressed the difficulties faced by them.

During his visit to power loom factory at Vadem, Sawant interacted with the workers and assured continuity of work, with minimum wages to be paid to them on regular basis.

“The government is working on a concrete solution to the power loom workers of the State. More employment opportunities will be made available in this sector,” he said.

The chief minister attended different programmes organised by Atal Gram Development Agency in Netravali, which included a visit to the newly constructed Anganwadi Centre at Margwada-Netravali.

He also laid the foundation stone for the beautification near Our Lady of Pilar chapel area at Gawliwada and foundation for the construction of an Anganwadi centre at Bandwada-Netravali.

Sawant also distributed modern teaching aids and toys to all Anganwadi workers for the use of children at Margwada-Netravali and distributed computer and other peripherals to the Panchayat office and water purifiers to all government schools in Netravali.

He also visit a free medical camp organised by Rotaract Club of Margao supported by Rotary Club of Margao in association with the Sanguem Primary Health Centre.

Later, the chief minister also convened a meeting with Swayampurna Mitras of Sanguem constituency and reviewed various schemes, facilities and projects initiated by the government.

Among those accompanying the chief minister during his tour included Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar, Rivona Zilla Panchayat member Suresh Kepekar, Project Director/Member Secretary, Atal Gram Development Agency Vijay Saxena, Director of Goa Handicraft Rural and Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Arvind Bugde, Chairman of Atal Gram Development Agency Subhash Velip and former MLAs Subhash Phaldessai and Vasudev Meng Gaonkar.
