Chief Minister Pramod Sawant rushed to New Delhi on Tuesday where he met Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss Goa’s preparedness to handle the second wave of Covid pandemic.
In accordance with the discussion that ensued, CM has called for a high-level meeting of Goa government officials on Wednesday at 10.30 am to chalk out the further action plan of the state. The action plan will be announced to the general public following the meeting, CMO stated.
CM Sawant took to Twitter to declare that if required, the state government will procure Covid vaccines directly from the manufacturer to make sure that Goans get their vaccines free of cost. The announcement was made on the backdrop of the central government’s decision to open vaccinations for all citizens above the age of 18 from May 1.
