Directorate of Technical Education and Directorate of Education, in collaboration with the Project Management Unit (PMU), recently held a meeting with principals, training and placement officers, and student representatives of engineering and polytechnic colleges of Goa to discuss the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) scheme and its training programme.
The meeting was attended by Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, Secretary Education, Shailesh Zingade, Director, Directorate of Education, Dr Vivek Kamat, Director, Directorate of Technical Education and Dr Vijay Borges, Project Director of Project Management Unit.
Coding and Robotics education teaches students to think and progress, said Gill. He congratulated the PMU and the team for their achievements so far and praised the efforts in trying to bring change in young minds.
Zingade guided the students to choose the profession of their passion and what makes them happy. He appreciated the PMU for their two years of journey in introducing and implementing CARES scheme and its curriculum.
From New Academic Year most of the schools will have coding and robotics education curriculum, said Kamat.
He stressed on encouraging students to participate in curriculum and schemes.
