Anxious residents of Coldem in Telaulim village on Tuesday raised questions over the height of the underpass under construction along the stretch of the Western bypass passing through the village.
The villagers raised the question over the height of the underpass and whether it would serve the intended purpose. They also raised questions of inundation of the underpass at the Comba underpass near the Damodar college, with residents saying the Comba underpass lay inundated during monsoons for want of drainage.
PWD, National Highways Executive Engineer, Laxmikant Naik also rushed to the site to answer the queries raised by the local residents. Naik informed that he sought to allay fears of the residents vis-Ã -vis the height as well as on the aspect of flooding. “I showed them the design and plans drawn up by the PWD, ruling out flooding of the underpass,” he said.
