College girl drugged and molested by 2 'Instagram' friends

MARGAO: A friendship developed on Instagram ended in a molestation of a 19-year old college-going girl on Thursday evening as her friends drugged her before molesting and filming her in a semi nude state.
The Margao Police has arrested two persons, aged 24 and 19 years after the victim complained that the duo clicked her semi-nude photographs and filmed her after drugging her in a flat.
Margao PI Kapil Nayak said the final-year old student of a college complained that she had developed friendship with a boy on Instagram around a month ago. The accused boy, who had studied in Abu Dhabi, had come down to Goa with his family around two years ago. The incident had occurred in the flat of the second accused, a 19 year old lad, pursuing his studies in Pune, and whose mother is presently based in Oman.
PI Kapil said that the girl had developed friendship with the accused 24-year old boy around a month ago. “The victim girl and the accused had met at least on two occasions in the past and they met again on Thursday evening near the college,” PI Kapil said.
After the victim girl and the boy met again, they proceeded to the flat of the second accused located at Fatorda.
“The girl has stated that she fell unconscious after the duo gave her a smoke and later took her photographs in a semi-nude state,” PI Kapil added.
The police has arrested the two accused for drugging the victim girl, and molesting and filming her.
The two lads are presently cooling their heels in the Margao Police lock up.
The Margao police are investigating.
