Railway personnel rushed to the Comba railway crossing after the gate was left damaged when a vehicle rammed against the structure on Tuesday evening.
As the iron railing broke into two pieces, railway personnel were on the job to repair the same. An RPF personnel was also deployed at the site to man the traffic.
The railway personnel suspect that the crossing was hit by a rickshaw before speeding away. The railway personnel were on the job to lay their hands on CCTV footage to book the vehicle involved in the incident.
