Speaking to the press at Congress House, Naik stated, " Drafting of education policy should have taken 15 days. But the Central BJP government is drafting the policy since three years now. Will Goa's education minister and CM Parrikar implement this saffron education policy in Goa? He should tell the minority community in particular." Commenting on the failure of Parrikar to tackle issues of Panaji, Naik insisted that the NIO and the GSPCB should conduct a study of the River Mandovi waters. "These bodies should suo motto undertake a scientific study of Mandovi waters and submit report to govt about how polluted the waters are. Casinos have polluted Mandovi," Naik lashed out adding that the govt should book those found responsible for travesty. TGN Naik further demanded Parrikar to state what steps he has initiated towards rehabilitation of slum-dwellers, installation of public toilets and healthcare for the city residents.
