The first list of Congress candidates for the upcoming polls to Goa Assembly will be declared by second week of January.
The last meeting of the Pradesh Election Committee of Goa Congress was convened at Panaji under the chairmanship of All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Goa Digvijaya Singh.
The meeting was attended by the chairman and two prominent members of the AICC core screening committee.
Speaking after the meeting, Singh stated, “We have gone over every seat with due diligence. Today, we had invited screening committee chairman Venugopal and other members Bhakta Charan Das and Deepak Babaria to attend this meeting. They listened to the views.”
