The Congress held a tiranga yatra in the capital city to honour the armed forces for their valour in the ongoing war with Pakistan.
All top leaders of the party including Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao, MLAs Carlos Alvares-Ferreira and Altone D'Costa, South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes and GPCC chief Amit Patkar participated in the yatra accompanying party workers in a march to the 2STC headquarters.
In a statement, the Congress said it proudly salutes the courage and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces for the successful completion of Operation Sindoor.
"At this crucial time, GPCC and the Indian National Congress stand firmly behind our government and our armed forces. When it comes to the security of our country, there should be no politics ” only unity," it said.
