Continuing with its campaign of mocking the government over rising onion prices in the State, the Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress (GPMC) sold onions at a cheap price at Dovornem-Merces on Monday.
Leading the campaign was GPMC chief Adv Pratima Coutinho and she was accompanied by members of the St Cruz Mahila Congress who shouted slogans against the government.
And the public took advantage of the initiative as a huge crowd thronged Dovornem to buy onions, which were sold at a meagre price of Rs 25 per kg.
Also present were Congress leader Rudolf Fernandes, Congress Chimbel ZP candidate Sudesh Kalangutkar and others.
