CANACONA
A car driver was booked by Canacona police in connection with a road mishap, leading to injuries sustained by a couple on a two-wheeler at Sheller-Canacona.
According to Canacona police, Sadiq Havanur (21) was driving a car in a rash and negligent manner and struck an oncoming two-wheeler on a straight road at Sheller.
The rider Tolu Gaonkar (58) of Gulem-Canacona sustained serious injuries, while the pillion rider, Mayawati Gaonkar, sustained simple injuries.
Havanur has been booked under Sections 279, 337 and 338 IPC and Head Constable Dilip Velip is investigating under the supervision of Canacona Police Inspector Pravin Gawas.
