MAPUSA:
Days after North Goa Congress District, President, Vijai Bhike called former BJP leader, Sudhir Kandolkar an outsider and opposed Congress ticket to him, both came together to jointly campaign for Congress in Mapusa.
Former chairperson and Congress candidate for Mapusa by-poll, Sudhir Kandolkar along with Congress leader, Vijay Bhike launched the party’s campaign from Ekta Nagar Housing Board, Mapusa.
The Congress candidate along with a large number of his supporters went door to door meeting and reaching out to people at Ekta Nagar.
For Congress it was second round of campaign at Ekta Nagar as Bhike had already covered the area when he had launched his
election campaign.
“Congress had done fairly well in Ekta Nagar during the last assembly election. I will work for the victory of Congress in the Mapusa by-election,” Bhike reiterated.
Congress candidate, Sudhir Kandolkar said that he was getting very good response from the people of Mapusa and Congress will definitely win the by-election in the
constituency.
“The sense I am getting is that the voters of Mapusa are with us. All of us, my supporters and North Goa Congress District, President, Vijai Bhike and his team are all working with one aim in
mind,” Kandolkar said.
It may be recalled the North Goa Congress District, President along with other party organizations from North Goa had expressed disappointment on bringing Sudhir Kandolkar an outsider
into Congress.
He, however, volunteered to work for the Congress candidate in Mapusa by-poll after the party nominated Kandolkar as the candidate
for Mapusa.
