A host of issues including the controversial petrol pump issue figured at the gram sabha of the Davorlim panchayat on Sunday.
The meeting chaired by sarpanch Herculean Niasso discussed issues including the water flowing from the Bhagwati side.
Gram sabha member Andrew Rebello placed a number of points at the gram sabha meeting including the need for speed breakers near the Rosary Church in Davorlim.
Rebello also called upon the panchayat to seek data from the PWD on the main road passing through the village, as he demanded to know whether there are any plans to widen the road, saying such a move will affect the Scheduled Tribes people living along the route.
Rebello also demanded to the panchayat the status of the comunidade paddy fields after the repeated acquisition made by the government for the South Western railways, then for the Konkan railway and now for the track doubling project.
Varca local cries foul over sewage in creek
