Cops hear over 100   citizens across   5 police stations

The first public grievance redressal meet in North Goa after its revival witnessed 25 petitions submitted by 100 citizens across five police stations.

The day-long outreach led by Superintendent of Police (North) Rahul Gupta also saw four Sub-Divisional Police Officers and Inspectors personally hearing the grievances.

According to official figures shared by SP Gupta who visited the Panaji Police Station, 20 persons submitted four petitions on various issues. SDPO Panaji Sudesh Naik, took charge at the Old Goa PS and attended to six petitions by 27 persons.

At the Mapusa PS, SDPO Wilson D’Souza interacted with 22 residents who submitted eight petitions. In Pernem, SDPO Shaikh Salim addressed three petitions, while at Porvorim, SDPO Vishwesh Karpe handled four petitions concerning 16 complainants.

On June 21, grievances will be heard at Bicholim, Agassaim, Anjuna, Mopa and Calangute PS. On June 28, the sessions will take place at Covale, Mandrem, Saligao, and Valpoi police stations. SP Gupta will be available at the Panaji, Bicholim and Covale PS.
