Corjuem man held for stalking schoolgirl
MAPUSA: A 34-year-old man from Corjuem was arrested on Tuesday on charges of stalking and sexually harassing a schoolgirl.
The accused, Amir Panjikar, was allegedly stalking a 14-year-girl when she was on her way to school for quite some time, police informed.
The situation came to such a pass that the girl was forced to quit school.
On Monday, the accused went to the residence of the girl and began abusing her parents.
The mother of the minor filed a complaint against the accused on Monday evening.
Mapusa Police arrested the accused on Tuesday evening under Sections 509, 354 (d) IPC and Section 8 of Child Act and Section 11 of POCSO Act. Mapusa Police are investigating further.
