Some of them are for change of zones, some of them are for, mining, some of them are for placement of current irrigation command areas and some are for, road corrections and things like that,” Prabhugaonkar said.“We worked out parameters… we will be working out a plan of Sattari in such a way, that fits into the vision based policy for the whole of Goa,” Prabhugaonkar said that the parameters will be finalised in the next meeting and published thereafter.He was quick to add that the SLC will be going beyond just the suggestions which have been submitted most of which are concerning housing (settlement).“Like if you see the current tourism policy… the tourism master plan is such that the focus during the monsoon is in those waterfront areas… they go for the rafting and things like that. Plus tourism policy focusses on going towards the hinterlands from the beach areas to have, other opportunities also. Those kinds of things are also looked at in Sattari, not just looking at those applications which have come in. Every taluka is being looked at with a revenue model,” Prabhugaonkar said.He reiterated that the Investment Promotion Board Projects would be superimposed on the Regional Plan and their effects would be examined. Prabhugaonkar also said that the SLC was working towards ensuring that people do not have to leave their villages in search of work elsewhere.“Artisans are there all over Goa in every village… but the trouble or motivation for him to come to a city needs to be built by creating a situation such as an RP level and his village hamlet level. That is what we are looking at. Look at people friendly development all over,” he said. The SLC will also put together several other policies like that of the tourism policy, forest policy, water policy, etc while drawing up the regional plan.
