Cortalim Cong rules out alliance

Stating that the prospects of an alliance have disappeared into thin air, Cortalim Congress Block President Devendra Kenkre said the party would field a candidate in Cortalim and there will not be any alliance.

CORTALIM

“I can tell you with 100 per cent certainty that there would be no alliance with any party and that Mariano Rodrigues would be the Congress candidate for Cortalim,” Kenkre told The Goan.
Kenkre, however, refused to divulge his source saying that he would not like to come out in the open since it was a party affair.  Sancoale ZP member Mariano Rodrigues, who is the Congress ticket hopeful, said he had already received a go-ahead from GPCC chief Luizinho Faleiro. “I have been told to display the party banners. So I don’t think that the party will take me for a ride,” Rodrigues told The Goan, adding that he would start his canvassing in full swing from Wednesday.
Rodrigues, however, told The Goan that the party’s prospects will not be affected in case of no alliance since the people know the difference between the Congress and others.
