Counting of ballots of the election for the Cuncolim Municipal Council will be taken up at 8 am on Monday on the ground floor of the South Goa district Collectorate building.
The result is expected to be out by 9 am. Given that there are only 14 ballot boxes, one ballot box for each of the 14 Municipal wards, all the ballot boxes will be opened up simultaneously for counting.
Returning Officer John Fernandes informed that the counting of votes will be complete in round one itself.
As many as 66 candidates, including half a dozen former Municipal chairpersons are in the fray in the CMC polls.
The Returning Officer informed that ballots of the Navelim ZP by-poll will be taken up for counting after the counting process of CMC is complete in all respects.
