Court grants Babush three-month exemption in Panaji PS attack case

Wife Jennifer gets two-month exemption

MARGAO
The South Goa Sessions Court on Friday granted exemption to Revenue Minister Atanasio Babush Monseratte and Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monseratte from appearing in the Panaji police station attack case.

While the Court has granted three-month exemption to the Revenue Minister, the Taleigao MLA has been exempted from appearing in the case for two months.

Meanwhile, the examination and cross examination of then Panaji police inspector, Sudesh Naik has concluded. This became apparent after the application moved by the defense for re-examination of Police Inspector Sudesh Naik did not find favour with the trial court.

Given the situation, the Sessions Court has called for examination of then DySP Mohan Naik at the next date of hearing.
