The total victim count of Goa rose to 677 with the inclusion of two more deaths to the tally on Sunday.
The deceased persons include a 78-year-old man from Curtorim, who was brought dead at Hospicio in Margao and tested positive after post mortem and an 87-year-old woman from Navelim, who expired in less than 24-hours of admission at ESI Covid Hospital in Margao.
Meanwhile, the total number of new cases detected in the last 24 hours in the state has dropped to 78 from among the 1,139 samples tested.
With this, the total confirmed cases so far have touched 46,826 of which 1,170 are presently active and 44,979 have recovered. The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in Goa presently stands at 96.06 per cent.
