Covid claims 5 more lives; 503 new cases recorded

PANAJI
Five more Covid-related deaths were recorded in Goa raising the death toll so far to 391. While four of these deaths occurred at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, one was recorded at ESI Covid Hospital in Margao.

The deceased persons include a 75-year-old woman from Nadora in Bardez, a 70- year-old-man from Morjim, a 64-year-old-man from Margao, a 60-year-old-man from Salvador do Mundo and a 70- year-old-man from Curtorim.  

Meanwhile, a total of 503 new cases of the infection were detected in the State in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of active cases has touched 5,424. The total confirmed cases so far in Goa stand at 31,574 of whom 25,759 have recovered. 

The official recovery rate presently stands at 81.58 per cent.
