Covid cases crossed twomarks in Canacona, when the taluka recorded 114 active cases and 202 overallinfections on Wednesday.
Canacona Health Officer Dr Vandana Desai said the highestpositive daily cases of 20 were reported on Wednesday, taking the overall Covidinfections to 202.
As a result, the active Covid cases also jumped to 114 for thefirst time since the first infection of a KTC driver was reported in Canacona.
Incidentally, the virus seems to have virtually spread to allparts of Canacona.
Most of the cases on Wednesday pertained to municipal areas,including some staff at a starred hotel, while some cases were detected in thehinterland of Poinguinim, Loliem and Shristhal. Most of the patients have beenhome quarantined for 17 days.
