Covid help from Govt counsellors

PANAJI
The State government will utilise the services of its counsellors to reach out to families who have been affected by Covid.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has taken the initiative to rope in counsellors and is coordinating with them to reach out to the families, especially those who have lost a breadwinner in the pandemic.

The services of counsellors associated with the education department, directorate of higher education, women and child development, health, etc. will be utilised and there will be a special orientation for them.

“Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will attend the orientation programme of counselling of Covid affected families at the Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji, on Wednesday at 4.45 pm,” states a tweet by the CMO.

Meanwhile, the State government has already begun the process of preparing a list of families whose breadwinners succumbed to Covid. The survey is expected to be completed by September 1.
