One Covid-related death was recorded in the state’s mortality bulletin on Sunday raising the total victim count in the state to 706.
A 61-year-old woman from Mapusa passed away at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
Meanwhile, a total of 57 new cases of the infection were detected in the state in the last 24 hours from among the 803 samples tested, the positivity rate being 7.03 per cent.
With this, the total number of confirmed cases in Goa has touched 49,362. Of these, 1,066 cases in Goa presently active while 47,590 patients have recovered so far. Till date, 25,617 patients have opted for recovery under home isolation. The recovery rate presently stands at 96.41 per cent.
