Curchorem candidates claim victory
CURCHOREM
Candidates who contested the assembly elections from Curchorem constituency have predicted their victories and their winning margin.
Speaking to The Goan, Curchorem MGP candidate, Shyam Satardekar said he is 100 percent sure of wining this time. “After my defeat in the 2012 assembly election, I kept aloof from social and political appearances just to see whether people realise whether BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral was capable of giving good governance or not.”
“People of Curchorem are with me and I will win because of my approach with the people and their trust in me.”
When asked about his margin of victory, he declined to do so, but said the margin would be “a noticeable one.”
On the other hand, Curchorem BJP candidate Nilesh Cabral said he was sure of his victory by a margin of about 4,500 votes in Curchorem constituency.
He said many families from Curchorem had faith in him and that, he had worked for the development of Curchorem. “Majority of the people voted for me,” he said.
