Curchorem, Sanguem Shigmo floats

CURCHOREM: Shigmostav float parades will be organised in Curchorem and Sanguem on March 31 and April 1, respectively.

Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes told The Goan that Curchorem-Sanvordem Shigmotsav committee has decided to organise the Romtamel and Shigmotsav float parade on March 31.

“On March 29 and 30, various competitions and cultural programmes will be organised in the evening and the Romtamel competition and float parade will be held on March 31, from 4 pm onwards. The parade will start from Curchorem railway station till KTC bus stand at Curchorem,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sanguem Councillor Deepak Marathe said the Shigmotsav committee meeting on Tuesday decided to organise the Shigmotsav Romtamel floats in Sanguem on April 1.

It is learnt from some participants of Sanguem Shigmotsav committee that a special practice session will be conducted on March 18, from 7 to 9 pm. The Romtamel dances which will be practiced at Sanguem government sports complex.
