Curchorem-Cacora council shifts street vendors to market shed
The Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) was successful in shifting the street vendors to the market shed near GSUDA market. rnCCMC Chief Officer Pramod Dessai informed that the street vendors rnsitting outside were shifted peacefully without using police force.

the goan I networkrCURCHOREM r rAbout 40 street vendors were accommodated in the vendors shed and the area outside vendors shed has been kept for parking. rSpeaking to The Goan, CCMC Chief Officer Dessai said the council successfully shifted the street vendors sitting across the town by obstructing footpaths. rAbout 40 street vendors were shifted to street vendors shed at GSUDA market near KTC bus stand Curchorem without use of police force early Thursday morning. rHe further said special sitting arrangements were made available to the street vendors. “Two days back, I had requested the street vendors to cooperate with the CCMC and stop sitting outside the GSUDA market and they listened,” said Dessai. rCCMC Chairperson Sushant Naik, Chief Officer Dessai and municipal staff were present during the shifting.
Electioneering to the four panchayat wards in Bardez which will be going to polls on July 1, ended on Thursday.
