The Curtorim panchayat has on Sunday told the gram sabha that the local body is looking out for a plot at the Leprosy hospital land to set up the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
At the gram sabha chaired by sarpanch Caeitano Hilario, the panchayat has announced that the MRF planned at Fullandongor has been scrapped.
Sarpanch informed that the panchayat is now scouting for suitable land, including a portion of the Leprosy hospital land to set up the MRF.
The panchayat has also told the gram sabha that it has received no proposal from any cellular company to set up a mobile tower near the Curtorim lake.
The issue of migrants also came up for discussion when members demanded to know whether any survey of tenants has been carried out by the panchayat. In fact, members demanded that the panchayat through the panchas conduct the tenant survey.
