BSNL mobile phone customers from some areas in Sattari taluka have expressed anger over failure of the authorities to repair the mobile tower machinery, after it was damaged due to high voltage last week.
Customers from Nagargao, Sonal, Ambede, Satoda, Khotoda, Maloli, and other areas are without the services for the last four days. On Friday, some machinery of the mobile tower was burnt due to high voltage in Dhave area, stopping the connectivity for the customers. It is the only tower that facilitates the villages.
Speaking to The Goan, Nagargao Sarpanch Parag Khadilkar said people are suffering for network connectivity and authorities are least bothered.
Officer at Valpoi telephone exchange Narayan Sawant said: "The work to repair the fault is not in my powers, but official documentation is underway to solve the problem and in another two days, everything will be channelised."
