Those present at the meeting included Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) Chairperson and South Goa MP Narendra Savoikar, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida, TTAG President Savio Mesais, Taxi Operators leader Herculano Dourado, Transport Director Nikhil Dessai, traffic officials and Airport Director B Negi.
According to Savaikar, the meeting was conducted with the upcoming tourist season in mind.
"Various issues were discussed and positive suggestions came forth for better regulation at the airport. Better coordination between all stakeholders concerned will enable smooth movement of tourists and taxi movement," informed Savoikar.
Meanwhile, the AAI has issued a global notice inviting an e-tender for the appointment of a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the extension of the existing terminal building and allied works at Dabolim Airport estimated at Rs 220 crore.
The period of completion consists of 27 months, which includes 6 months for pre-award activities including site survey, soil investigation and stakeholders consultation, 21 months for supervision of works during execution stage and an additional 12 months for providing supervision during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
