The FIR was registered at Canacona Police station at 8.30 pm under Section 302 of IPC and PI Philomeno Costa is the investigation officer.
It follows directions from JMFC at Canacona under Section 156 (3) CrPC (empowering a magistrate to order an investigation), following a complaint from Minna Pirhonam, the mother of
Felix (22).
Justifying the delay, Canacona Police informed that the unnatural death of Felix was investigated under Section 174 CrPC on January 28, 2015, and upon direction of JMFC Canacona under Section 156 (3) CrPC, registered the offence against unknown accused.
The death of Dalh Felix will now be investigated as murder sometime during the intervening night of January 27 and 28, 2015, informed police.
