Dattajayanti Utsav celebrations at Sankhali on Dec 29

Shree Saunsthan Dattawadi, Sankhali, Goa will be celebrating Dattajayanti Utsav on December 29 at Shree Dattamandir. This year, in view of the pandemic situation prevailing in Goa, the temple complex will be kept open on December 29 and 30 only for limited period from 07.00 am to 12.00 pm (noon) for mukhadarshan of the deity, on both the days. 

Temple gates will remain closed from 12.00 noon onwards for the whole day. Rituals after 12.00 noon on both days will be held only in presence of acharyas, representative of host, members of the managing committee, bhajani group, palkhi bearers and office bearers of various Dattaseva Trusts associated with this temple. Devotees are requested not to remain in the temple precincts after 12 noon on both the days.

Devotees present inside the precincts of the temple shall strictly maintain social distancing and continue to wear their masks throughout their stay inside the temple precincts. Hand sanitization facility will be provided at the entrance of the temple. The same must be strictly used while entering the temple precincts.

Security personnel and Volunteers will guide and assist the members who are inside the temple precincts. A container will be placed near the gate where the devotees may deposit their offerings (flowers/mala etc.) if any, for the deity.

Anna Santalpann (Mahaprasad) will not be hosted this year as precautionary and safety measure for well being of the devotees.

Shiksha Vision holds cataract detection camp in Bicholim
