Delhi scribe robbed

Valuables worth Rs 3.26 lakh belonging to a journalist and her friend were stolen from a hotel in Candolim.

Priyanka Sharma from New Delhi and a journalist with NDTV in a police complaint stated that unidentified staff from the resort at Candolim committed theft of two diamond rings worth Rs 3.05 lakh and cash of Rs 21,000 from her hotel room.  
Calangute Police said the complainant and her friend, Ishhika Bhagat had retired for the day at 2 am on September 10.  
The theft took place between 2 and 8.30 am, as the complainant noticed her rings and cash of Rs 15,000 and her friend’s wallet containing Rs 6,000 missing when they got up at 8.30 am the same day.  
Police has booked an offence against unknown persons under Sections 457, 454 and 380 IPC. PSI Kirtidas Gawde is investigating the case.

Valpoi civic body draws up plan to tackle cattle menace

Valpoi Municipal Council (VMC) has resolved to send a proposal of impounding stray cattle to a cattle pound under Stray Cattle Management Scheme 2013 to resolve the stray cattle menace at Valpoi.
