An 18-year-old girl from Delhi died after a collision between two cars on the NH66 highway in the wee hours of Monday.
Porvorim police mentioned that Malik Rihan Khabib (27) from Ramnagar-Betim drove his Maruti Ertiga car in a rash and negligent manner and on reaching in front of the Saraswat Bank and near the Holy Family Church, the Maruti Ertiga struck the left side rear door of a Toyota Innova which was crossing the road.
The passengers in the Toyota Innova sustained injuries and one passenger Lavanya Joon from North Delhi later succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.
Police have registered a case under sections 106/1,125(1) of BNS and Head Constable Vivekanand Diukar is investigating the case.
