Demolition notice issued to Merces scrapyard

OLD GOA

After directing the ceasing of operation of the scrapyard at Bamon Bhatt-Merces, the panchayat has now issued demolition notice to the same.

The notice was issued under section 66(4) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and the owner has been given twenty days to demolish the scrapyard failing which the panchayat has warned of further course of action as per the GPR Act.
