PANAJI:
The move to transition to 100 per-cent e-ticketing via a smartcard on the e-bus services being operated by the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) in Panaji and its peripheral semi-urban villages of Taleigao, St Cruz and Bambolim will be persisted although it has affected footfalls significantly.
"People will have to get used to it. The services will eventually go conductor-less. Already three routes -- Altinho, Bhatlem and another -- have gone conductor-less," Rodrigues said.
Rodrigues however did not give any figures of the footfalls or say by how much these have got affected due to the introduction of the smartcard and 100 per-cent cashless operations.
