This is a significant development on political front: Vijai
MARGAO: Goa Forward Party chief and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has said the entry of Priyanka Gandhi into active politics is a significant development on the political front.
Asked to react to Congress party’s decision to appoint Priyanka as the AICC general secretary of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Sardesai said, “It is indeed a significant political development. One may say anything, but one cannot
brush it aside.”
He pointed out that Priyanka Gandhi has the charisma which no political party can afford to ignore. It is said that Priyanka’s emissary had descended in Goa before the 2017 Assembly polls to get the political pulse and had called many a leader within the Congress and outside, including the Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai.
Even Margao MLA Digambar Kamat remembered that Priyanka’s emissary had met him in the run up to the Assembly polls just to find out the mood of the electorate in the State.
