The Village Panchayat of Cavelossim has launched a helpline number (8468865299) as part of their disaster management plan in the presence of Sarpanch Dixon Vaz, panch members and Disaster Management Committee members.
The members discussed in details how to respond in case of emergency and to report the type of disaster to the command center. “We will conduct a mock drill on Sunday at 5pm at the Cavelossim-Assolna ferry point,” informed Sarpanch Dixon.
The sarpanch thanked the local villagers for volunteering to be members of the disaster management cell, exuding confidence that the team will help in meeting the emergencies during the ensuing monsoons.
