Discussions needed after competition results: Gaude

Minister for Art and Culture, Govind Gaude has advocated the need of organising discussion sessions after the results of any competitions are announced.
"There shouldn't be doubt in the minds of artistes about their performances. Hence, they should be made aware of their performances through discussions," Gaude said.
Gaude was speaking after inaugurating Ghumat Aarti competition organised by Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir-Ponda. Member secretary and deputy collector Navnath Naik, vice-chairperson Ajeet Kerkar and others were present.
The preliminary rounds of the competition will take place till September 27, while finals will take place on October 2. about 47 groups from across the State are participating in the competition.
"We all should try that more groups take part in such type of competitions. It will help us to take our culture to greater heights," Gaude said.
Gaude said sometimes it is very difficult to judge when majority give good performances.

PONDA The barrels and wooden log that were kept in front of petrol pump at Curti-Borim bypass since last many months were finally pushed to the side of the road, after The Goan highlighted the issue. The Ponda traffic police were helpless in removing the barrels and wooden log kept in front of petrol pump, which was creating a obstruction to the traffic.
