Domestic charters from this season

Private tour operators are set to commence charter flights from Indian cities to Goa in the forthcoming season with small bodied ATR aircraft from at least two cities to fly it twice a week, Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar said.

“Twice a week the small ATR aircraft carrying around 68 passengers will bring in tourists initially from Surat and perhaps one other city twice a week. It is being privately run,” Parulekar said. Goa has been receiving charters mainly from foreign countries beginning in the 80s mainly on account of poor direct connectivity with those countries.
