Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday implored all farmers in the State to check with the zonal agriculture officers and verify if their names were present in the list of beneficiaries under PM's Kisan Yojana Scheme.
Claiming that there has been no agitation against the farm bills anywhere in the country except Punjab, the union minister appealed to farmers not to hold protests on a political agenda.
Javadekar is meeting groups of farmers at Mapusa and Chorao on Saturday and put forth in the meeting how the three new legislations will benefit cultivators.
