BELAGAVI
Stating that people from Belagavi, Goa and Kolhapur region are facing huge inconvenience due to suspension of flights from Belagavi to Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and other destinations, former MP and KLE Socety Chairman Dr Prabhakar Kore has urged Governor Thawarchand Gehlot to initiate appropriate action.
He has also given the detailed the figure of travellers flying to the above destinations to make his demand more appropriate.
It may be noted that many Goans take flights from Belagavi to reach Nasik, Pune, Indore, Jaipur and other destinations.
“It is inappropriate of the airlines to stop the flights to the above destinations despite the fact they are running in profit. Action should be taken to restart all the earlier flights to avoid the inconvenience to the passengers,” said Dr Kore, in his letter to the governor.
He has also stated that the number of flights has gone down tremendously no sooner the UDAAN scheme ended.
