CANACONA
The drivers and cleaners of two loaded vehicles escaped unhurt after both vehicles collided with each other at Gulem in Canacona on Friday afternoon.
According to Canacona police, a pickup (GA-08T- 5760) loaded with cement bags was proceeding from Margao and headed towards Sheller and an interstate truck (KL-09Z-3370) proceeding from Kerala to Bicholim collided on the highway near the petrol pump at Gulem.
The cabin of the pickup was badly damaged in the accident, while the truck also suffered some damages, but the two drivers and cleaners in both vehicles escaped unhurt, informed police sources.
A Canacona police team conducted the panchanama and further investigation is being carried out under the supervision of Canacona PI Pravin Gawas.
