Goa Children’s Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to the headmistress and class teacher of a Cuncolim-based school in the schoolgirl assault case.
In separate orders, the Court has ordered the release of the headmistress and the class teacher on bail of Rs 25,000 each and one identical surety in the event of arrest.
Amongst other conditions, the Children’s Court has further directed the duo to visit the Cuncolim police station for 10 days for investigations. The duo had approached the Goa Children’s Court after the Cuncolim police registered an FIR under the Goa Children’s Act in connection with the assault on the girl student by fellow students.
The case has since been transferred to the Women Police Station after the parents and the villagers of Balli protested at the Cuncolim police station.
