Duo injured in accident at Benaulim

MARGAO:Two persons were injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and a cycle at Benaulim.

Accoreding to Colva police, the accident occurred when the motorycle rider, one Shrikant, a native of Odisha and a resident of Benaulim, was proceeding on his motorycle from Benaulim beach towards Maria hall, Benaulim. As he was approaching Maria hall, Benaulim, his motorycle collided with a cycle thereby causing injuries to the cyclist, one Joseph, a resident of Benaulim and to himself.

Upon getting information, Colva police registered an offence under Section 279 and 337 of IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
