The Office of the District Election Officer, North Goa, organized a voters’ awareness rally in Panaji on Sunday which later culminated in a function at Miramar beach.
Election icons such as actress Dr Meenakshi Martins, musician Mukesh Ghatwal, singer Akshada Bandekar, footballer Bramhanand Shankhwalkar, musician Patrisan Andrade, actress Antonette
D’Souza, filmmaker and actor Siddharth Yajji, singer Bindiya Vast Naik, actor and Goa’s Charlie Chaplin Spirit Fernandes, Fularani Kinlekar, actor Kevin D’Mello, musician Dilip Vaze, actor Pradeep Naik and poet, lyricist John Aguiar were present along with Nodal Officer SVEEP North Goa Dr Gervasio Mendes.
The Collector and District Election Officer R. Maneka IAS along with observers Sudipta Chatterjee and Manisha Trighadia flagged off the rally from the Collector’s office.
At Miramar, election awareness films by Mukesh Ghatwal, Akhsada Bandekar, Kanya Naik with Mast Dhruv Gaonkar, Mast Amey Shetgaonkar and film produced by North Goa Collector’s office were released.
Also a skit written by Antonette D’ Souza and participated by Dr Minakshi Martins, Spirit Fernandes Kevin DMello, Patrisan Andrade, Bindiya Vast Naik, Siddharth Yajji, John Aguiar was staged on the occasion.
Ghatwal and Andrade regaled the audience with their live performances and impressed upon the voters to ensure 100 per cent voting in the elections.
Others who were present on the occasion were Additional Collectors Vikas Gaunekar and Gopal Parsekar along with Mamlatdar in Collectorate Pravin Gawas and Nodal Officer SVEEP in CEO’s office Isha Sawant.
