Bicholim police will await a report from the electricity department into the death of the 34-year-old linemen who got electrocuted when he was attending to a fault atop an electricity pole at Vhalshi-Bicholim on Friday morning.
Police sources said an autopsy on the body confirmed that Manoj Zambaulikar from Gaonkarwada-Pilgao had died after coming into contact with live wires.
Meanwhile, a team from the electricity department visited a fitness centre in the area to inspect its inverter, which is believed to have released reverse electricity, which is what caused the electrocution of the lineman.
Sources said the police is awaiting a report from the electricity department, before initiating further action in the matter.
