The Amazing Goa Global Business Summit 2024 concluded on December 2 with the Student Intern Buddy (SIB) Felicitation Programme held at Goa University.

This unique event celebrated the efforts of student interns, their mentors, and dignitaries who contributed to the program’s success.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, was the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship and urged students to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Highlighting green energy as a significant business opportunity, he encouraged students to embrace challenges, take risks, and focus on continuous learning. “There is no greater reward than seeing your hard work grow into something impactful for the community,” he said.

Prominent personalities, including Rajkumar Kamat, Chairman of Vibrant Goa Foundation, and Arman Bankley, its President, attended the event. Both highlighted the summit’s vision of transforming Goa into a global business hub by empowering youth with skills and mentorship.

They also underscored the SIB Program’s role in nurturing globally minded leaders.

The programme began with the distribution of certificates to student interns, recognising their hard work and contributions.

Ryan Vaz, Director of Business Voices at BNI Foundation, delivered an inspiring session on entrepreneurship. Similarly, Rahul Parab encouraged students to participate in the Pitch Tank competition, a platform for showcasing business ideas.

Speakers like Gautam Kharangate, Chairman of the SIB Program, praised the initiative’s focus on skilling, upskilling, and reskilling youth.

Government officials, including Shwetika Sachan, IAS, and A Asvin Chandru, IAS, commended the summit’s efforts in fostering local talent and highlighted schemes for sustainable business growth.

Interns shared heartfelt testimonials about their enriching experiences, which included networking with international delegates and gaining valuable insights into global business operations.

These stories reflected the programme’s success in inspiring entrepreneurial aspirations.

The summit’s theme, “Gateway to Global Opportunities,” came alive through the SIB Program, which provided hands-on learning experiences and international exposure to interns.

The collaborative efforts of government, industry, and academia demonstrated Goa’s potential as a global business hub.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rasik Naik, acknowledging all stakeholders.

The summit has set a benchmark in fostering innovation and leadership, empowering the next generation to build a vibrant and sustainable future for Goa and beyond.
