Margao Municipal Council Electric Vehicle (EV) which has been found parked inside the Municipal garage in recent days made its presence felt at the parking lot in front of the Municipal building on Tuesday.
A day after The Goan highlighted how the EV has been withdrawn from the road and confined to the Muncipal garage, Chief Officer Gaurish Sankhwalkar ordered the staff to bring the EV on the road on Tuesday.
In fact, the Chief Officer is believed to have decided to use the vehicle for his travel to and from Corlim to Margao. The EV is designated for the official use of the MMC Chief Officer.
Since the Chief Officer opted to use an old Toyota car, the EV was confined to the municipal garage, even as fears were raised in the corridors of the MMC building that the government-sponsored vehicle may meet the same fate like many a vehicle grounded in the Municipal garage.
